Install Teracopy NEW!

How to Install TeraCopy on Windows

TeraCopy is a free utility that lets you copy and paste large files faster and more securely than the default Windows function. It can also verify the copied files, skip bad files, resume interrupted transfers, and integrate with Windows Explorer. In this article, we will show you how to download and install TeraCopy on your Windows PC.

install teracopy

Download Zip: https://anlilesu.blogspot.com/?c=2tFWcJ

Step 1: Download TeraCopy

Go to https://www.codesector.com/teracopy and scroll down to the Windows section. You will see two options: TeraCopy 3.9.7 and TeraCopy 2.3. The first one is the latest version that requires you to download a zip and an exe file, while the second one is an older version that only requires an exe file. Choose the option that suits your preference and click on the "get_app" button to download the file.

Alternatively, you can use the Chocolatey package manager to install TeraCopy by running the following command in a PowerShell window:

choco install teracopy

Step 2: Install TeraCopy

If you downloaded the zip file, you need to extract it to a folder on your PC. You can use any file archiver program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to do this. Then, open the folder and double-click on the exe file to start the installation process.

If you downloaded only the exe file, you can simply double-click on it to start the installation process.

You will see a welcome screen that asks you to choose your language. Select your preferred language and click "OK". Then, follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. You can customize the installation options such as the destination folder, shortcuts, and shell integration.

Step 3: Use TeraCopy

Once the installation is finished, you can start using TeraCopy to copy and paste files faster and more securely. You can launch TeraCopy from the Start menu or from the desktop shortcut if you created one.

You can also use TeraCopy from Windows Explorer by right-clicking on any file or folder and selecting "TeraCopy" from the context menu. This will open a window where you can choose the destination folder and other options for copying or moving files.

TeraCopy will show you the progress of the transfer, as well as any errors or skipped files. You can pause and resume the transfer at any time, or cancel it if you want. You can also verify the copied files by comparing their hashes with the source files.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any problems with TeraCopy, here are some tips to help you fix them:

  • Make sure you are using a compatible Windows version. TeraCopy works on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11, as well as Windows Server 2003-20H2.

  • Make sure you have enough disk space and memory on your PC for copying large files.

  • Make sure your source and destination devices are connected properly and have enough power.

  • If you see an error message that says "Access Denied" or "File in Use", try running TeraCopy as an administrator or closing any programs that may be using the file.

  • If you see an error message that says "File Not Found" or "Path Too Long", try renaming or moving the file to a shorter path.

  • If you have any questions or feedback about TeraCopy, you can contact Code Sector support at support@codesector.com or visit their support page.
